Flight alerts: what they are and where they come from

When you save a flight, AeroLOPA checks which aircraft and seat map it will use, and tells you if that changes. The alerts come from us, not from your airline.

When we check:

  • With Pro or during the free trial: your aircraft is found up to 48 hours before departure, then checked again at 12, 6, 2 and 1 hour and 30 minutes before.
  • Free web account: one check 6 hours before departure, and one more at 2 hours if the aircraft wasn't assigned yet.

Where the information comes from: published airline schedules (industry data from OAG) and the aircraft each flight has actually flown. We aren't connected to your airline booking, so an alert is about the flight, not your reservation.

The airline says nothing changed? Your airline is always the final word on your flight time and aircraft. See Why does my flight show a different plane?.

Too many alerts, or none? Alerts follow the flights saved in your account. Remove a flight you're no longer taking and its alerts stop.
